Our Mission
RootsUp Foundation is committed to strengthening communities through programmes focused on education, health awareness, leadership development, and grassroots learning opportunities. Through initiatives like Roots to Rise and youth fellowship programmes, we aim to empower girls, women, youth, and local communities by nurturing confidence, life skills, social responsibility, and equal opportunities for long-term impact.

Roots to Rise
Roots to Rise — a RootsUp Foundation initiative empowering rural women in Chirki, Giridih (Jharkhand) through waste-to-wealth training, traditional art forms (Batik, Bandhani, Pattachitra), handicrafts, and entrepreneurship development. Targeting 50 young women and girls, the project transforms discarded materials into marketable products while building financial independence, leadership, and sustainable livelihoods — turning waste into wealth, skills into opportunities, and women into entrepreneurs.

Education
Promoting quality, inclusive education — from foundational literacy and Anganwadi strengthening to digital learning and school dropout reduction.
Health
Health camps, nutrition awareness, maternal & child health, TB awareness, mental health support, and community health resilience programmes.
Environment
Tree plantation drives, waste management awareness, water conservation, and community-led ecological restoration across Chhattisgarh.
Women Empowerment
Skill training, SHG formation, legal literacy, safety awareness, and leadership building helping women lead their own futures.
Rural Development
Livelihood training, sustainable agriculture, farmer producer organizations, and community governance for rural families.
People Behind The Mission
RootsUp Foundation started with five of us, working directly with communities across Chhattisgarh. We saw that most communities already have the answers — they just need the right support to act on them. That's why we work alongside people, not for them, across education, health, women empowerment, environment, and youth leadership. We're a small, growing team, and we're just getting started.
